This document ("Terms of Service", "Terms", "User Agreement" or "Agreement") is a legally binding agreement between individuals, businesses, and organizations ("Users") and Stranger.Chat ("stranger.chat"), referred to as the "Website" hereafter. The terms "us", "we", and "ours" refer to Stranger.Chat, while "you", "your", "User", and "Visitor" refer to all users of the Website. To access and use all services provided by Stranger.Chat, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. Users who select "Under 18" may only use the AI chat feature ("Aimy") and cannot be matched with human strangers. Users 18 and older may use both stranger chat and AI chat. By using our Website you agree to comply with this Agreement and our Rules. You also confirm your agreement to our Privacy Policy.
We grant you a nonexclusive, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use Stranger.Chat strictly in accordance with this Agreement. Your rights are not transferable or assignable. This Agreement does not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and us. We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the Website (temporarily or permanently) for: • Technical reasons such as server issues, software malfunctions, or security incidents. • Maintenance, updates, or improvements. • Legitimate legal or privacy concerns. • Business reasons if we decide to cease operations. We are not liable for any harm resulting from downtime, technical failures, or internet connection issues beyond our control.
Users may transmit text messages to other Users, or interact with our AI chat companion ("Aimy"), which is powered by Groq's API using a large language model. By transmitting content through Stranger.Chat, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content solely to operate and improve the service. When either user reports a chat session, that session will be recorded and retained for safety and moderation purposes. By using Stranger.Chat, you consent to this possibility. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for all content you transmit. You represent and warrant that your content does not infringe on any third-party rights and complies with all applicable laws. Stranger.Chat employs an automated content filter that blocks messages containing phone numbers, physical addresses, hate speech, slurs, or sexually explicit language. Attempting to bypass this filter is a violation of these Terms. You agree NOT to transmit content that: • Is obscene, offensive, or harmful to minors. • Violates any applicable law or regulation. • Harasses, threatens, or abuses other users. • Promotes illegal activities or commercial solicitation. • Contains spam, malware, or deceptive information. • Includes personal contact information such as phone numbers or physical addresses.
You agree not to: • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems. • Circumvent any security or authentication measures, including IP-based blocks. • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Website. • Interfere with other users' access, including via spamming or flooding. • Reverse engineer or decompile any part of our software. • Develop competing applications using our platform. • Impersonate other individuals or misrepresent your identity. • Collect or harvest other users' personal information. • Submit false or malicious reports against other users. • Use VPNs, proxies, or other means to evade an active IP block.
Stranger.Chat provides a built-in reporting tool that allows users to flag inappropriate behavior during a chat session. When a session is reported, a full log of the conversation — including both participants' messages and IP addresses — is preserved and stored securely for administrative review. These logs are not subject to routine cleanup and are retained until reviewed by our team. The following automated blocking rules apply: • If a user's IP address receives 2 or more reports within a 24-hour period, that IP address will be temporarily blocked for 24 hours. • If a user's IP address accumulates 10 or more reports within a 5-day period, that IP address will be blocked for 30 days. • Following manual review of a reported chat log, an administrator may issue a permanent IP ban for serious violations including but not limited to harassment, sexual content directed at minors, threats, or illegal activity. When your IP address is blocked or permanently banned, you will see a message informing you and will be unable to access the chat service. Submitting false reports is a violation of these Terms and may result in action being taken against your own IP address.
Stranger.Chat uses an age group system to protect younger users. When you first use the chat, you are asked to confirm whether you are under 18 or 18 and older. Users who select "Under 18" are restricted to the AI chat feature ("Aimy") only and cannot be matched with human strangers. Users who select "18 or older" may use both the stranger chat and AI chat features, and are only matched with other adults. By selecting an age group, you confirm that your selection is truthful. Attempting to bypass this system or misrepresenting your age is a violation of these Terms and may result in a permanent ban.
Each chat session on Stranger.Chat is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes. Once this limit is reached, your session will automatically end and you will be redirected to the home page. You may start a new session at any time. This limit exists to promote healthy use of the platform and to protect all users, particularly minors.
Stranger.Chat is designed to be anonymous. You are identified to other users only by a randomly assigned alias, never by your real name or email address. Conversations between users are not permanently stored after a session ends, except where a session has been reported. Reported sessions are retained for administrative review and may be kept indefinitely in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We use third-party services including Google Analytics and Google Ads for analytics and advertising purposes, which may involve the collection of usage data and trackers. We may also share certain data with advertising partners as described in our Privacy Policy. If you use the AI chat feature ("Aimy"), your messages are processed by Groq's API to generate responses. Please refer to Groq's Privacy Policy at https://groq.com/privacy-policy for details. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and share your data, including your rights under GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and other applicable laws.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Stranger.Chat at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any conduct we deem harmful to the platform or its users. Access may be restricted or terminated in the following cases, among others: • Your IP address is automatically blocked due to user reports (see "Reporting and Automated IP Blocking"). • Your IP address is permanently banned following administrative review of a reported chat log. • You are found to have abused the reporting system or violated these Terms repeatedly. • Your conduct is deemed harmful, abusive, or illegal. You may stop using the Website at any time. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under this Agreement will immediately cease.
Stranger.Chat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stranger.Chat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website, including but not limited to harm caused by other users' behavior. You use Stranger.Chat at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to exercise caution and report any inappropriate behavior.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Stranger.Chat after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
